My name is Rachel, a photographer, a wife, a cat mama and someone who believes love is made of quiet moments.

I was born in China and now live in Utah with my husband. Living between cultures has taught me to notice the subtle ways people care for each other—the gestures, glances, and small details that often say the most.

My Chinese brand name is 如故 (rú gù). It comes from the phrase “一见如故” — when two people meet and feel instantly familiar, as if they have known each other for a lifetime.

That is the feeling I want every photograph to hold:
something natural, something intimate, something timeless.
